- I studied at St. Xavier's High School. I carry some very fond memories of school time.
- I currently live in Ahmedabad (Gujarat - India) with wife, daughter and parents.
- Since school days, I have been very choosy about things I love doing, even if it meant starting something all over again!
- From the day I know computers, I always wanted to work with them.
- I dropped out of Architecture and Civil Engineering to pursue a career in IT.
- It took me a while to figure out my interest, but once identified, I have stuck to it like a postage stamp on an envelope. I follow my passion.
|
|
- I was determined to stick to this envelope till it reaches its destination, only to realise that career development is not a destination but a journey.
- I am 12 years into this wonderful journey and have enjoyed every bit of it so far.
- IT industry enables me to apply my unique abilities in technology, processes, communication and writing.
- I am very passionate about things that interest me. I try to practice abundance mindset and not get bogged down by constraints.
- I love my Guitar, Harmonica (which I play occasionally), my music collection, my books, my family and my people.
- I enjoy creative pursuits like photography and writing.
- I blog with lot of enthusiasm.I started a blog in early 2006 with focus on software quality/testing but eventually expanded it to quality, management, leadership and improvement areas since I believe these form the core on which technical skills is a layer.
- I write to relax. Writing is an outlet of my creativity. Written word inspires me.
- I feed my brain with a lot of reading. Reading enables me to reflect and hence write.
- Writing sharpens my thinking and accelerates learning.
- I love mentoring people. When I help people grow, it gives me tremendous satisfaction. The satisfaction of bringing about a positive difference in someone's life is more than all material growth.
|
 |
- I am a budding speaker and have spoken at educational institutions on management. I recently trained a
group of 30 middle managers on Management/Leadership in my organisation.
- My interests change over time. This enables me to experiment with what I do and expand my canvas. I started as a faculty in IT, then did programming, web development, technical writing, process management, ISO 9001:2000, CMM and software testing. I am now an intrapreneur handling sales, pre-sales and operations in testing services. Learnt every bit about the business of doing a business.
- I have been lucky to be working with wonderful people who have respected my independence. I am grateful to have them around.
- Every morning when I wake up, I thank God for giving me life, a fresh new day to be lived, a loving family to go to, an affectionate team to work with and a healthy body to live in.
- I love my family. My wife and my parents. My 2.5 years old daughter has truly come in form of God's blessings. She enlivens me. When I am with her, all my worries just fade away. She melts my heart with warmth of her love.
